Important note: during the pandemic, some in-person retreats (as with some of our meetings and events) have been moved online until further notice. Please check back to ascertain the availability of in-person retreats. Our 2022 OASV retreat will be held in-person – for complete details, click here.
In Overeaters Anonymous, many members have greatly enjoyed and benefited from attending an annual retreat. Retreats are special weekend-long “getaway” events, typically held in a quiet location, such as a camp or retreat center. Activities often include hearing from wonderful speakers with years of abstinence that share their experience, strength and hope. Retreats often include time for small group discussions and one-on-one sharing, as well as time for writing and reflection. Often there are blocks of free time set aside for members to experience fellowship or to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the retreat center and its natural surroundings.
